Job Summary: The Warehouse / Packaging Team Leader is responsible for leading, providing guidance, training, and overseeing shift-work employees at a leading petrochemical plant that manufactures high-tech polymers in Hebron, OH. The ideal candidate will have industry related experience along with experience leading, supervising, and / or managing a team. Schedule: 12 hour night shift, 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. (Bi-weekly rotation)

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Ensures systems and processes are in place to drive safety, quality, and environmental performance by the workgroup
  • Clearly communicates goals around operating performance while assigning responsibility for tasks and decisions, setting clear objectives and measuring, monitoring processes, progress, and results
  • Has direct participation in safety meetings and overall training initiatives to model appropriate behavior for our field employees
  • Performs safety observations in the field to establish high visibility with employees and the customer
  • Reviews safety observation forms completed and identifies trends or areas of concern
  • Ensures that all incidents are investigated and participates directly in root cause analysis of significant incidents (i.e. employee injuries, spills, missed shipments, customer complaints, property damage, derailments)
  • Ensures that training is being conducted in alignment with PSC and the customer's best practices, including managing the training program, auditing of records, and participating in employee qualification process
  • Supports field employees with performance problems and helps establish effective corrective actions
  • Works closely with the field employees and customer to identify efficiencies and help implement them
  • Ensures positive recognition is occurring for good performance and personally participate in recognition events where possible
  • Provides one-on-one and group coaching to field employees
  • Provides support and input to peers on the team
Job Qualifications:
  • Experience in a Leadership, Supervisor, and / or Management role
  • Industrial, Warehouse or Packaging Operation experience preferred, but not required
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
  • Stable work history with good references from past employers
  • Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
  • Speak fluent English
  • PSC is a veteran-friendly company. Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures a plus
Physical Requirements:
You must be able to:
  • Speak, write, read, hear, and have good vision
  • Work outside in environmental conditions which at times include extreme heat or extreme cold
  • Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) without restriction and pass any medical examination associated with the use of PPE
  • Lift 60 pounds floor to waist
  • Push and pull 30 pounds horizontally
  • Carry 20 pounds while walking
  • Climb stairs and ladders
  • Stand 8-12 hours per day
  • Extend arms through normal range of motion while standing and squatting
  • Must be able to work in extreme heat or cold.
