Job Title:  Rail Accounting Assistant

Primary Responsibilities:  The Rail Accounting Assistant is a part-time position will focus primarily on creating and submitting bills of lading for railcars transported into and out of the refinery.
 
Reporting to:  Plant Supervisor, SGS PSC
 
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Operate safely and actively use the LPS system and tools.
  • Calculate net volume for all shipments and receipts of raw materials and finished products entering or leaving the refinery via railcar.
  • Prepare and transmit bills of lading to railroad carrier for all railcar movements on a daily basis.
  • Enter all pertinent data into Bill of Lading System.
  • Participate in occasional field visits for learning and development.
  • Provide support to the Finance Rail Analyst and Rail Transportation team as needed.
  • Communicates with other employees on a daily basis.
  • Able to solve problems when a discrepancy is found.
Skills/Qualifications:  
Must be well versed in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  Ability to multitask and adhere to all procedures.  Good communication skills.  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and or 20 lbs. of force frequently to move objects.  Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, talk, hear and climb stairs daily.
