Description

Job Title: Leadman

Primary Responsibilities: Acts as a working leader that is assigned to a specific post but that also has leadership responsibilities.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Performs and ensures work is performed in compliance to Quality Assurance Programs.
  • Performs and ensures work is performed in compliance to specifications and procedures.
  • Conducts incoming inspection of service equipment, parts, and material.
  • Identifies and records non-conformance.
  • Works with the Quality Assurance Coordinator to take corrective action to prevent recurrence of non-conformance.
  • Responsible to be knowledgeable of the SGS Petroleum Service Corporation Quality Assurance Manual and all related publications and procedures.
  • Maintains a copy of all related publications and procedures.
  • Maintains Quality Records.
  • Examines switch list in order to determine which cars are to be spotted, loaded, and/or shipped.
  • Spots any other cars that may be designated for loading/discharge.
  • Assists customers with routine inquiries to assure accurate and prompt results.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned in order to complete the assigned task.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills
  • Good interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage small crews
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs.of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps poles and the like.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, talk, hear and have a good vision.
  • Ability to work outside in environmental conditions which at times include extreme heat or extreme cold.
  • Ability to stand 8-12 hours per day
  • Ability to support oneself on a ladder with two feet and one arm extended for up to five minutes.
  • Ability to to speak, read, hear and have good vision.
 

Minimum Job Requirements: 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.; stable work history with good references from past employers; pass a drug screen, physical, and background check; and speak fluent English.
