Job Title:  Maintenance Supervisor
 
Business Unit:  SGS Petroleum Service Corporation

Primary Responsibilities:  Core leadership role in the development and operation of a small petrochemical manufacturing facility.  Lead team to set-up, initiate and ensure maintenance of equipment.
 
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a crew of approximately 12 people.
  • Perform set-up of automatic equipment including inserter, tyers, stackers, hopper loaders, bundlers, printers, polywrappers, and other support equipment to ensure correct operation.
  • Support the HSE team (health, safety, security) to create a safety system, commissioning during pre-start-up phase and start-up phase
  • Perform preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs when needed on inserter and related equipment in a manner to ensure the safe and efficient operation
  • Responsible for technical functionality of E2E operation (bagging, bulk loading, shuttling, storage, product shipment)
  • Provide leadership and direction to packaging team members while maintaining a productive atmosphere and high morale
  • Support recruiting process for maintenance team and execute training & coaching for packaging team members in all facets of inserting operation
  • Define quality report structure for the onsite equipment, define quality criteria for the equipment, and define spare parts concept for all technical equipment (packaging equipment, automatic trailer, forklifts, reach stacker, etc.)
  • Responsible account manager for equipment vendor
  • Accompany and support equipment acceptance test specifically for packaging equipment
  • Support training from equipment vendor to new personnel
  • Familiarize with packaging equipment and become technical expert
  • Create maintenance plan for packaging equipment and other rolling equipment on site (not trucks and trailers)
     
Skills/Qualifications:
  • 5+ years technical and operational experience with in-plant logistics
  • 5+ years extensive experience within the (petro-)chemical logistics industry desired
  • Technical equipment background (mechanical / electrical maintenance experience)
  • Engineering degree not required but preferred
  • Experience working at start-up projects
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and manage vendors and teams
  • Distinctive analytical and conceptual skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • Experience supervising a crew
  • Must be fluent in English, with strong communication, moderation, and negotiation skills
