Primary Responsibilities: Ensures that the quality of product, raw materials, and wastes meet all specifications and are measured accurately
Reporting to: Plant Supervisor, SGS PSC

Primary Responsibilities: Ensures that the quality of product, raw materials, and wastes meet all specifications and are measured accurately
Reporting to: Plant Supervisor, SGS PSC
Specific Responsibilities:
- Performs analytical measurements and ensures they are performed accurately by others in the lab.
- Provides analytical services to the manufacturing operations.Responsibilities include:
- Perform routine analysis
- Perform non-routine analysis
- Troubleshoot Laboratory instrumentation
- Train/Assist Operations with Lab analysis
- Maintain integrity of analytical data
- Performs all operations in the lab per ISO-9001, Good Manufacturing Practices, Laboratory Analytical standards, and environmental regulations
- Principal Accountabilities
Lab Excellence- Performs routine analysis on in-process, storage tanks, and shipping containers including raw material identification, metals analysis by ICP, Gas Chromatography, wet analysis, and final product identification.
- Performs non-routine analysis for investigations, qualifications and projects as needed.
- Troubleshoots lab instrumentation.Be able to convey to manufacturer/management problems with instrument to determine if problems can be resolved in-house or by outside vendor.
- Trains operations personnel in laboratory methods, and proper laboratory technique to ensure quality analysis is given to operations and customers, and will be involved in all modules of lab training for operations.
- Assist operations personnel with laboratory analysis.Assist logistics with loading issues.
- Performs quality checks on all instrumentation as per ISO-9001 and Good Manufacturing Standards.Report any instrument out of control to operations and management.Perform investigation into problem.
- Maintains laboratory environment by ensuring proper housekeeping in lab area including retain storage building.Ensure laboratory is supplied with all necessary reagents and accessories.
- Ensures CofAs are generated for shipments and provide CofAs to customers and other necessary entities.
- Good oral and communication skills
- Must have the ability to speak, write, read, hear and have good vision.
- Capable of troubleshooting and calibrating gas chromatographs, coulometric and potentiometric titrators, spectrophotometers, viscometers, FT-NIR, ICP-OES, and colorimeters
- Proficient in MS Excel & MS Word, SAP
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2-7 years of plant experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to work outside in environmental conditions which at times include extreme heat or extreme cold. Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) without restriction and pass any medical examination associated with the use of said PPE. The physical requirements for a loader include the following: Lift 50 pounds floor to waist, push and pull 50 pounds horizontally, carry 20 pounds while walking, climb stairs, climb ladders, extend arms through normal range of motion while standing and squatting.

- The worker is subject to atmospheric conditions:One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin:fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
