Job Summary: Petroleum Service Corporation is seeking a Loader to join our team at a chemical plant – manufacturing facility in Seadrift, TX. The Loader is responsible for working safely and efficiently on an automated product packaging line to fill bags / boxes for outbound shipment. Experience is not required, and paid on-the-job training is available. This is a full-time position with the opportunity of advancement and potential to be hired on by the facility. Work Schedule: Dupont Schedule - 12 hour shifts (Rotating days, nights, weekends, and holidays)

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Participates in shift change by reviewing the production schedule and setting up for loading operations.
  • Prepares all gaylord boxes (uniclean, metric ton, regular) or hopper cars to be filled with plastic pellets
  • Operates the automated packaging loading stations on the production line by filling either bulk bags or super sacks to be loaded into 1300 lb. / 2200 lb. metric ton gaylord boxes or hopper cars
  • Confirms verification of desired weight loaded into gaylord boxes to continue transferring down the line to the sealing station
  • Monitors the heat sealer operation to ensure the automated line seals the opening of the liner
  • Inspects seal quality to ensure seal is uniform and no defects are detected
  • Applies product labels to the gaylord box and the zip lock pouch attached to the liner itself. Verify the label has all correct data (Batch #, Lot #, Product Type, and Manufacture Date)
  • Gathers samples of filled product, clean sample bag and apply labels
  • Conducts an inspection of the battery powered forklift prior to each use to ensure safe operation.
  • Offloads and loads box trailers at the loading docks by safely operating the forklift. Places empty boxes on the conveyor of the packaging line and loads filled boxes from the line and onto the box trailers.
  • Safely closes up all loaded trailers and ensures the BOL (Bill Of Lading) is printed for each container loaded.
  • Print labels for next shifts loading, reviews and communicates schedule, PO# (Production Order Numbers) and shift activity to include equipment inefficiencies / housekeeping conditions.
  • Cross trains on all automated packaging stations, participates in continuous training and completes any other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
  • Must be able to follow OSHA safety standards and be safety conscious at all times.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
  • Stable work history with good references from past employers.
  • Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check.
  • PSC is a veteran-friendly company. Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
You must be able to:
  • Speak, write, read, hear, and have good vision
  • Work outside in environmental conditions which at times include extreme heat or extreme cold
  • Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) without restriction and pass any medical examination associated with the use of PPE
  • Lift 60 pounds floor to waist
  • Push and pull 30 pounds horizontally
  • Carry 20 pounds while walking
  • Climb stairs and ladders
  • Stand 8-12 hours per day
  • Extend arms through normal range of motion while standing and squatting
