Job Title:  Yard Mule Driver

Primary Responsibilities:  Safely weighs and drives shuttle truck to and from loading racks and warehouse within the plant.

 
Work Location:  63X
 
Reporting to:  Shift Supervisor, SGS PSC
 
Exempt or Non-Exempt:  Non-Exempt
 
Hourly or Salary:  Hourly
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Inbound trucking of Automatic Trailers
  • Collects and returns container chassis
  • Internal Shuttle Operation for Sea Bulk Loading and Packed Loading, inclusive weighing in and out
  • Installs container chassis supports where required
  • Monitors and reports operational activities
  • Completes daily inspections and documentation/check sheets on equipment and trailers Performs Reach Stacker operations on off-hours
  • Communicates with facility supervisor on any problems as they occur
  • Completes any other duties that may be assigned in order to complete the job
Skills/Qualifications: Must have the ability to speak, write, read, hear and have good vision.  Must be able to work outside in environmental conditions which at times include extreme heat or extreme cold. The physical requirements for a material handler include the following: Lift 60 pounds floor to waist, push and pull 30 pounds horizontally, carry 20 pounds while walking, climb stairs, stand 8-12 hours per day, climb ladders, extend arms through normal range of motion while standing and squatting.
 
Minimum Job Requirements: 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.; stable work history with good references from past employers; pass a drug screen, physical, and background check; and speak fluent English.
