Job Title:  Tank Farm & Pipeline Operator

Primary Responsibilities:  Oversees pipeline and storage processes by monitoring, documenting, and maintaining equipment and quality of product.
 
Reporting to:  PSC Terminal Manager  
 
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Performs gauging of storage tanks prior to and after each transfer and confirms inventories are accurate prior to transfer.
  • Responsible for correct transfer alignment to accomplish environmentally safe transfer.
  • Maintains quality pipeline and storage processes by conducting inspections, monitoring multi-screen control console, and recommending process improvements.
  • Documents all procedures used during pipeline processes.
  • Monitors pipeline and storage by setting and programming controls, watching gauge levels.
  • Ensures proper operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and reporting malfunctioning units.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations relating to pipeline import/export and underground storage cavern.
  • Completes any other duties that may be assigned in order to complete the job.
       
Skills/Qualifications:
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects. Ability to climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps poles and the like. Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, talk, hear and have a good vision. Ability to work outside in environmental conditions which at times include extreme heat or extreme cold.
