Job Title:  Forklift Operator (Inbound/Outbound)

Primary Responsibilities:  Operate forklift and ensures safe transport and handling of finished product.
 
 

Work Location:  63X	Reporting to:  Shift Supervisor, SGS PSC
Exempt or Non-Exempt:  Non-Exempt	Hourly or Salary:  Hourly

Specific Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Handling finished product
• Moves stacks from storage locations to loading islands
• Loads stacks into containers and trailers
• Performs quality control activities
• Performs scrap and exception handling
• Performs repair of broken stacks
• Performs pallet recovery and repair
• Registers and monitors inventory changes
• Monitors and reports operational activities
• Ensures clean work space and performs housekeeping activities
• Conduct periodic checks of forklift as per the checklist provided.

 
 
Skills/Qualifications: Must have the ability to speak, write, read, hear and have good vision.  Must be able to work outside in environmental conditions which at times include extreme heat or extreme cold. The physical requirements for a material handler include the following: Lift 60 pounds floor to waist, push and pull 30 pounds horizontally, carry 20 pounds while walking, climb stairs, stand 8-12 hours per day, climb ladders, extend arms through normal range of motion while standing and squatting.
 
 
Minimum Job Requirements: 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.; stable work history with good references from past employers; pass a drug screen, physical, and background check; and speak fluent English.
