Job Title:   Lead Terminal Operator

Primary Responsibilities:  Serve as the primary Terminal Operator. Develop good working knowledge of the Crude Oil Terminal, its layout, the associated equipment, and perform a wide range of activities at the terminal including operations, maintenance and general upkeep.
 
Reporting to:  Operations Manager, SGS PSC
 
Specific Responsibilities:

• Maintains quality production by obtaining and testing process samples; conducting inspections; recommending process improvements.
• Documents all procedures used during production process.
• Monitors production process by lining up valves and managing product flows to the shore tanks.
• Ensures proper operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; reporting malfunctioning units.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations; patrolling unit.
• Completes any other duties that may be assigned in order to complete the job. 

Skills/Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalency
• Ability to work independently and unsupervised
• Advanced troubleshooting skills
• Good interpersonal and leadership skills

Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs.of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects. Ability to climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps poles and the like. Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, talk, hear and have a good vision. Ability to work outside in environmental conditions which at times include extreme heat or extreme cold.
