Job Title: Safety Supervisor
Business Unit: SGS Petroleum Service Corporation
Department: Operations
Exempt or Non-Exempt: Non Exempt
Hourly or Salary: Hourly
Primary Responsibilities: Provides support to Operation Manager and Site Supervisors and through routine field presence at various sites, conducting safety observations and employee coaching. Leads incident investigations using root cause methodology and submits required reports per company policy. Conducts routine monthly safety meetings and supplemental field training on various safety topics.
Reporting to: Operations Manager, SGS PSC

Specific Responsibilities:
- Works with Operations Management to ensure SGS meets Customer and Site requirements
- Maintains general Communication with all staff regarding health safety and environmental matters
- Provides safety training and coaching to current and new employees
- Intervenes when an unsafe act or condition is observed
- Prepares and presents reports on compliance activities to Operations Management and Customer Contacts
- Stays up to date with SGS PSC and Customer changes to health, safety and environmental protocol
- Interacts with Customer's Contract Adminstration Work Group
- Leads Incident Investigations and generate reports
- Establishes and maintains a comfortable and desired relationship with customer safety contacts and medical service providers to remain updated on relevant information
- Possess outstanding communication (written /verbal) skills necessary to carry out the tasks
- Possess outstanding computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Work Experience: Relevant operational work experience preferred with knowledge of HSE
