Description
Job Title:  Pipeline Operator        
 
Primary Responsibilities:  Oversees pressurized hydrogen pipeline and storage processes by monitoring, documenting, and maintaining equipment and quality of product.
 
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Maintains quality pipeline and storage processes by conducting inspections, monitoring multi-screen control console, and recommending process improvements.
  • Documents all procedures used during pipeline processes.
  • Monitors pipeline and storage by setting and programming controls, watching gauge levels, and operating the DCS computer console.
  • Ensures proper operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and reporting malfunctioning units.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations relating to pipeline import/export and underground storage cavern.
  • Maintains continuity among work shifts by communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Completes any other duties that may be assigned in order to complete the job.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Process Technology Associate's Degree/Certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 2 year(s) of process operations experience is preferred.
  • 1 year pipeline operations is preferred.
  • DCS experience is a plus or training on a DCS program.
Skills/Qualifications:
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects. Ability to climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps poles and the like. Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, talk, hear and have a good vision. Ability to work outside in environmental conditions which at times include extreme heat or extreme cold. Must have valid driver license and High School Diploma or equivalency.
