Document Clerk (Chemical Plant)

Job Summary: Petroleum Service Corporation is looking to hire a document clerk to work in an industrial chemical plant environment. This position is responsible for documenting and calculating the innages and outages of tank trucks as they enter and leave the facility. Experience is not always required, and paid, on-the-job training is provided. This is a regular, full-time position with potential advancement opportunities. Work Schedule: 12 hour rotating shift work (days/nights/weekends)

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Reviews with DCS Operator, the load Authorization Sheet, ensures the Certificate of Quality (COQ) for product quality, then checks the storage tank level on DCS for product availability to meet loading requirements
  • Reviews with the DCS Operator, the system sequence ensuring system alignment is correct
  • Receives call from driver on scale and verify pickup information with daily loading schedule
  • Directs truck to loading rack
  • Checks loading information for correct destination, quantity, proper UN placards, special unloading equipment, special customer order numbers to be included on shipping papers, special request for certificate of analysis or fax information.
  • Records all weights, truck and trailer number, time arrived, and the time checked out into the log book.
  • Verifies all paperwork from loader(s) is correct and complete
  • Reviews all videos for the shift and ensure all were taken correctly and are visible

Job Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid TWIC card & driver’s license.
  • 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
  • Stable work history with good references from past employers.
  • Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check.
  • Speak fluent English.
  • PSC is a veteran-friendly company. Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift 50 pounds floor to waist
  • Must be able to climb stairs
  • Ability to stop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, and walk
  • Must be able to wear all required PPE without restriction
  • Must be able to work in extreme heat or cold
