Job Summary: Petroleum Service Corporation is looking for an individual to join our team as a Maintenance Technician at a chemical plant in Baytown, Tx. This person will perform routine and preventative maintenance services to our chemical loading operation where we specialize in loading acids into railcars and tank trucks. Experience is not required, but the ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined and demonstrates working knowledge of different hand and power tools. Work Schedule: 8 hour day shift Monday – Friday

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conducts daily, weekly, and quarterly inspections as assigned.
• Performs inspections on various equipment, including but not limited to, ladders, harnesses, oil containment areas, and forklifts.
• Performs routine pump inspections, maintains oil levels and greases bearings on multiple pumps throughout the unit.
• Safely operates common hand and power tools, such as drills and grinders.
• Safely operates forklift and manlift to move maintenance supplies and inventory within the warehouse.
• Ensures accuracy in the warehouse by conducting routine inventory counts.
• Orders and stocks all maintenance operational supplies as needed.
• Works with basic computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel to maintain and update documents and spreadsheets as needed.
• Performs general grounds keeping duties within the unit and warehouse.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment by performing general housekeeping duties within the office area.
• Other duties as needed to complete assigned tasks.

Job Qualifications:

• Must be able to follow OSHA safety standards and be safety conscious at all times
• General understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word).
• Must possess a valid TWIC card and driver’s license
• 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
• Stable work history with good references from past employers
• Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
• Speak fluent English
• PSC is a veteran-friendly company. Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.

Physical Requirements:
You must be able to:

• Speak, write, read, hear, and have good vision
• Work outside in environmental conditions which at times include extreme heat or extreme cold
• Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) without restriction and pass any medical examination associated with the use of PPE
• Lift 50 pounds floor to waist
• Push and pull 50 pounds horizontally
• Carry 20 pounds while walking
• Climb stairs and ladders
• Extend arms through normal range of motion while standing and squatting
