We are currently hiring individuals pursuing regular full-time (not temporary) positions with opportunities for cross-training, career growth, and advancement. No experience required (we pay for on-the-job training). Warehouse Chemical / Material Handlers work in an industrial chemical plant/warehouse environment and are responsible for the safe and efficient loading, unloading, storage and transport of totes, drums, sacks, and other enclosures containing various chemical and plastic products. Work Schedule: 12 Hour Rotating Shifts (Day, Nights, Weekends, & Holidays)

 

Primary Responsibilities: Transports and stores drums and other product-filled storage containers throughout warehouse facilities.
 

 Specific Responsibilities:

  • Safely and efficiently operates forklift and other warehouse machinery.
  • Responsible for the safe loading of product onto different containers/trailers and product securement.
  • Perform a quality control role which includes: inspecting drums for damage and checking paperwork/ labels for accuracy.
  • Housekeeping is a key job responsibility and requires scraping and removing spillage from the floor and surrounding equipment.
  • Maintains a safe working environment at all times.

Skills/Qualifications:
Must have the ability to speak, write, read, hear and have good vision. Must be able to work outside in environmental conditions which at times include extreme heat or extreme cold. Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) without restriction and pass any medical examination associated with the use of said PPE. The physical requirements for a warehouse technician include the following: Lift 60 pounds floor to waist, push and pull 30 pounds horizontally, carry 20 pounds while walking, climb stairs, stand 8-12 hours per day, climb ladders, extend arms through normal range of motion while standing and squatting. Valid driver’s license and TWIC card required before entering plant.

Job Requirements: 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.; stable work history with good references from past employers; pass a drug screen, physical, and background check; and speak fluent English.
