Job Title: Terminal Operator (Crude Oil)

Primary Responsibilities:  Safely unloads and loads crude oil out of tank trailers and railcars to and from onsite storage tanks at a brand new crude oil terminal. Great opportunity to get in at the ground floor with a stable and growing company. No experience required, we will train.
 
Reporting to:  PSC Terminal Manager
 
Specific Responsibilities:

• Matches loading schedule to bill of lading.
• Steams rail cars as necessary.
• Fills out loading record.
• Ensures that railcar is positioned and secured at proper transfer rack.
• Visually inspects the railcar to be involved in the upcoming transfer in order to ensure that it is mechanically sound and there is no defective equipment before unloading.
• Wears all protective clothing and equipment, including respirator and fresh air equipment that may be required to transfer the product in a manner that ensures maximum personal safety.
• Connects loading arm/hose.
• Checks vessel for last product contained.
• Unloads railcar according to instructions using gauges and/or strapping tables.
• Communicates with facility supervisor on any problems as they occur.
• Disconnects transfer arm/hose, inspect for any leaks and complete required paperwork prior to releasing the railcar
• Stores all equipment on transfer rack and cleans area and equipment.
• Completes any other duties that may be assigned in order to complete the job

Skills/Qualifications:
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects. Ability to climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps poles and the like. Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, talk, hear and have a good vision. Ability to work outside in environmental conditions which at times include extreme heat or extreme cold.
