Job Title: Logistics Representative

Business Unit: SGS Petroleum Service Corporation

Department: 7700

Primary Responsibilities: To log the truck traffic in and out of the plant and support the logistics department in an administrative role.

Reporting to:  Site Supervisor

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Check out drivers via SAP (T/T, export containers & domestic package) in a timely manner with all proper documents (bill of lading, packing list, COA, MSDS, seals, and Placards).
  • File preloaded bulk and package order for pick up
  • Check all outbound deliveries in SAP for rail car shipments, shipment complete any orders that have not auto completed, Print Bill of Lading, C of A for rail car shipments by 10AM. (On Saturday’s and back up coverage.)
  • Update Shift Supervisor prior to leaving the status of drivers in plant due for sign out
  • Pick packaged orders
  • Work with Warehouse Day Tech to order supplies, seals, labels, scale tickets etc.
  • Print HCR tags to keep inventory on hand for loading
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed
Skills/Qualifications:
  • Experience using SAP
  • Ability to multi-task, such as answering multiple phone calls while entering computer data.
  • People skills, including patience to deal with customers, employees, and co-workers.
  • Exceptional customer service with both internal and external customers (ability to maintain professional and working relationship with customers and employees).
  • Exceptional communication skills, such as the ability to effectively communicate information to relief clerk at shift turnover.
  • Team player attitude.
  • Computer literacy, including the ability to learn the computer database and understand how to receive, enter, and dispatch job orders using the database.
  • Ability to learn customer and area-specific requirements and keep up with changes or new procedures.
  • Monday through Friday schedule with occasional Saturdays.
